Covenant Health is seeking an on call, day shift Rehab Aide with the Therapy Department at Covenant Specialty Hospital.Apply Today! Applicants that meet qualifications will receive a text with some additional questions from our Modern Hire system.Job Summary:The Rehabilitation Aide has the responsibility for a variety of duties including transportation of patients, providing assistance with patient treatment, clerical duties and performance of activities supportive of the work of various therapy programs. Position requires direct supervision.Essential Functions:Demonstrates knowledge and utilizes infection control procedures according to OSHA/CDC guidelines, Rehabilitation Services and hospital policies and procedures and standard precautions in patient care and disinfecting of equipment and treatment areas.Takes initiative to use unscheduled time to benefit the department, the therapists or patients. Follows a schedule in such a way as to complete all assignments and treatments.Verbally communicates and interacts with patients in an appropriate manner.Prepares patient for treatment by setting up proper equipment, as instructed by therapist.Works with patients under the supervision and direction of the therapist. Accurately and safely follows through with therapist directions and recognizes and notifies therapist of any changes or unusual patient behavior/condition.Appropriately communicates patient status after treatment to therapist in understandable written and /or verbal form the day treatment is carried out.Demonstrates knowledge through application of safety precautions when utilizing therapy equipment. Demonstrates knowledge through application and use of various modalities.Demonstrates knowledge through utilization of safe transfer techniques. Able to physically assist patients as needed to apply treatment as instructed by pletes clerical duties, including filing, copying, computer work etc., in a timely ventories equipment as assigned and notifies supervisor of equipment and supply needs.Minimum Position Qualifications:Education: H.S.
