Children’s Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) PICU – Pediatric Intensive Care for a nursing job in Plano, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU – Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Permanent PICU RN Registered Nurse – Full Time About the Job As a Registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Department in Plano, Texas, this position is responsible for the care of patients, ranging from infants to adults, with delivering appropriate care to patients and families. Our patient population is primarily pulmonary, sepsis, endocrine, overdose/ingestions, and spinal fusions. We are working on our level 3 trauma designation and expanding surgical services. This is a full-time Night position, 7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m., 72 hours a pay period, rotating weekends. Some Highlighted Responsibilities Management of Chest Tubes, Feeding Tubes, High Flow Oxygen, Nasal Cannulas, Tracheostomies, Ventilators, Central Lines, IV Medications Assessing and maintaining appropriate pain control in post-operative patients Evaluates and revises the plan of care based on evolving needs. Provides comprehensive, individualized teaching based on identified learning needs of families. Communicates in an accurate, objective manner.
