Secretary to the Curriculum Coordinator

Support and assist the curriculum and staff development program by providing secretarial services to the curriculum coordinatorQualificationsEducation/Certification/LicensureHigh School diploma or GEDSpecial Knowledge/SkillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and file maintenance skillsProficient skills in typing, word processing, spreadsheet, and database managementAbility to maintain confidentialityExperienceMinimum of 3 years office experience preferably in an educational fieldMajor Responsibilities and DutiesPerform usual office routines and practices associated with a productive office, including, but not limited to typing correspondence, maintaining accurate records and files, mail distribution, etc.Exercise good telephone etiquette, take reliable messages, and route messages to appropriate staffAssist coordinators, teachers, parents, and other secretaries as needed.Establish and maintain files and provide information from the files when requested.Assist the coordinator in maintaining the budget and expenditures.Assist with compiling presentation materials for workshops.Asist the coordinator with professional learning events including course registration, awarding credit attendance, reserve location, catering, technology support, setup, materials preparation and delivery, and breakdown.Maintain documents in current technology applications to support dissemination of curricular resources.Maintain calendar and make appointments for coordinator.Demonstrate integrity and ethics.Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e.
