Senior Electronics Engineer

This is a Contract position in Garland, TX posted September 11, 2021.

We are a rapidly growing, high-volume electronics repair and refurbishment company in Atlanta, GA with an immediate need for a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead our Engineering department.

The responsibilities of Senior Electronics Engineer are design, development, and improvement of equipment and processes for test and assembly of electronics.

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in design, manufacturing and testing of electronics.

Experience with home security, home automation, cellular and video products is a plus.

● Responsible for new product introduction (NPI), sustaining engineering and improvement of existing product testing.

● Design, development, maintenance and improvement of manufacturing equipment and processes.

● Develop comprehensive test requirements for new product, test plans, and test procedures.

● Lead development of test software and hardware to be utilized in manufacturing production.

● Qualification of test processes and test equipment to assure they consistently meet test specification
● Work closely with customers to ensure that test procedures are applicable to the requirements for product testing
● Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues
● Provide training of production / testing personnel on test procedures
● Provide guidance for maintenance and calibration of automated and manual test fixtures
● Troubleshoot technical issues that come up during production testing of products to identify root cause and corrective improvements
● Direct technicians and/or other engineers as required to leverage productivity
● Continuous improvement of assembly, test, and repair processes Job Requirements: Requirements:
● BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field; Master’s degree in Electronics is preferred
● Extensive high-volume manufacturing operations experience
● Expert level experience in the development of manufacturing strategies for NPI, yield, and high-volume manufacturing
● Extensive experience in mass production environments for PCB, SMT, rework/repair, and system assembly
● Strong background in solving supplier and manufacturer quality/reliability related issues
● Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles
● Experience partnering with Product, Test, and Reliability Engineering teams to produce yield, quality, and productivity improvements
● 5-10 years of progressive electronic design
● Experience with writing of automation applications using LabVIEW or similar tools
● Experience in product design and manufacturing, preferably in one or more of these product types: security, access, communication, and video products
