Senior Partnership Tax Planning Advisor

Collaborate with others to build the best solutions for our business Our Global Tax Team provides support and advice for all tax accrual processes for Baker Hughes, including forecasting, tax provision, quarterly and annual close and settlement.

We are in contact with local and regional business controller-ship teams to provide expert tax advice and processes to the business.

Partner with the best As a Senior Partnership Tax Planning, you will need to be sufficiently proactive to thrive in a fast paced constantly evolving business environment.

You will collaborate effectively with diverse teams both within and outside of Tax and in different geographies, and communicate effectively with business teams, senior leaders and external auditors As a Senior Partnership Tax Planning, you will be responsible for: * Provide technical tax advice and support on all partnership/Sub K matters * Effectively manage and review external service providers in their preparation and calculation of partner tax allocations and reporting under § 704(b), allocations for § 704(c) property, creditable foreign tax expenses, § 752 tax liabilities; inside and outside partner tax basis, and rolling forward tax capital accounts to reflect current year activity * Work closely and collaboratively with Baker Hughes tax planning team on Business Development initiatives (M&A), such as acquisitions, dispositions / carve-outs, and JV restructurings * Provide advisory support to Baker Hughes US GAAP tax operations process, including quarterly tax provisions, external SEC reporting, SOX controls, and FP&A * Consult and advise on issues surrounding the impact of partner separation (sell-downs) from the Baker Hughes/General Electric Company partnership, including impact on existing Tax Matters Agreement, estimated § 743 basis adjustments and § 755 allocations for tax provision purposes, final § 743 basis adjustments and § 755 allocations once fair market value valuation becomes available, § 704(b) revaluations, and § 704(c) implications to selling and remaining corporate partners * Partner with broader tax team in determining tax impact of strategic business decisions and delivering analytically driven effective solutions * Communicate effectively with colleagues and business leaders about changes in tax policy and their implementation * Skilled influencer, and able to communicate complex messages to others * Collaborate with cross functional teams on business initiatives * Significant experience in managing teams and developing talent Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, graduate degree in taxation and CPA preferred * Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Sub-K, US partnership taxation * Strong technical tax accounting experience involving complex Sub-K issues * Significant experience in managing teams and developing talent * Ideal candidate has experience as a senior manager or higher in National Public Accounting firm or Director level or equivalent experience in a Fortune 500 company * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of management * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
