Senior Tax Analyst


This is a Full-time position in Houston, TX posted June 25, 2021.

ENGIE is hiring a Senior State Tax Analyst located in Houston, TexasPay rate depends on experienceWhat youll do:* Complete complex single company and consolidated tax returns (state and federal) including state apportionment* Calculate and remit tax payments* Prepare calculations and/or complete tax forms for complex, non-routine transactions (ex: gains/loss on divestments, purchase accounting, ITC, research credits, cross-border transactions, BEAT, etc* Compile tax records for state audits, support and reconcile asset sub-ledgers as needed Reconcile tax accounts, and compile information used in tax forecasts and mid-year and year-end financial results for parent company reporting and audited financial statements Apply proper tax methodology for fixed assets and update tax fixed asset database when necessaryQualificationsWhat you bring:* Bachelor Accounting, Finance, or other business functions* 5-7 years of general accounting experience* 3+ years of state tax experience highly preferred* CPA/MA/MBA preferred* Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities with critical deadlines* Highly adaptable to change.
