POSITION SUMMARY:

The SEO Specialist reports to the Vice-President of Marketing and is responsible for the development of SEO friendly content, social media campaigns, PR articles, and reputation management.

This position will drive inbound organic traffic, develop brand awareness, and increase customer engagement through a well developed understanding of site architecture, keyword generation, search friendly content, link building strategies and metrics-driven optimization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Analysis of the website and develop recommendations for organic position improvement
Keyword research to use in page development, not limited to content, titles, headings, links and tags
Development of social media campaigns to increase online customer engagement
Create and publish PR articles with an eye towards SEO and brand awareness.
Monitor and Manage our online reputation on specific reviews sites as well as blogs, social media, and other electronic channels.
Monitor and report on organic positions of top keywords and phrases
Blog writing, syndication, and comment moderation
Monitor and report on organic revenue, making recommendations on areas of improvement
Develop and maintain a social strategy for each channel to grow customer engagement
Work with vendors utilizing their tools and optimizing the setup to drive traffic and revenue
Internal and external continued education to become the in-house subject matter expert
Assist with business goals in relation to SEO strategies and campaigns
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Strong writing skills and an understanding of writing for web
Presentation and analytical skills
Ability to work closely with team to manage projects and meet deadlines
Confidence and know-how to manage projects independently
Familiarity with social sites and the basics of online social interaction
Able to develop strong working relationships with internal peers
Proven ability to develop a plan, define, design, execute, analyze, and present results
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrable writing skills / portfolio of copywriting / editing
General working knowledge of basic web technologies
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or a related field is preferred
Prior experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00
– $60,000.00 per year
