Inclusive and respectful atmosphere Culture built on Trust, Passion, Partnership and Continuous Improvement Summary The primary function of the Systems Administrator is effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual must be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation. A great System Administrator accepts ownership for accomplishing new and challenging requests and explores opportunities to add value to the company. This individual will assist in both Information Technology and Business Solutions projects, collaborating on organizational initiatives and implementations. Core Competencies Attention to detail Technically creative and open-minded Excellent oral and written communication Time management Knowledge of network security practices Knowledge of visualization Customer-oriented attitude Extensive knowledge of homeoffice systems Risk assessment and mitigation Essential Duties And Responsibilities Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments. Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative. Use experience and insight to increase business efficiency. Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking thats always up and running. Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements. Evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput and latency, maintain and troubleshoot network and IT systems. Plan and execute selection, installation. configuration and testing of equipment, defining network policies and procedures. Protect the organization by keeping information confidential. Document all work actions in accordance with standard policies and procedures. Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed. Perform routinescheduled audits of the systems, including all backups. Perform server administration tasks, including usergroup administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly. Purchasing IT equipment with approval of PM Approving IT related invoices. Qualifications 5+ year of professional experience with Networking Routers, firewalls, switches, LAN, WAN, WLAN, Meraki network appliances. Networking Protocols TCPIP, DHCP, DNS, VPN. Infrastructure Windows Server, Office 365, Active Directory, GPO, Exchange, IIS, Remote Desktop Services, cloud VOIP systems. Security Firewall configuration, intrusion detection, multi-factor authentication, email security. Virtualization Hyper-V. Storage SAN, NAS. Data Server, file system, and SQL backup and recovery. Knowledge of Veeam software. Monitoring Infrastructure status, updates, and critical event monitoring (Ninja RMM). Familiarity AWS is a plus. Education Andor Experience Required Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience. Preferred CompTIA, MCDST or HDI certification, and experience working as a Systems Administrator on Acumatica
