· Ability to follow directions PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
· Requires daily standing, sitting, bending, walking, running, lifting, cleaning, and stooping
· Ability to lift at least 20-25 pounds WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Ability to work overtime and odd schedules
· Ability to keep your business to yourself and respect others privacy and feelings
· Ability to exercise good personal hygiene habits and exercise cleanliness in the classroom at all times Able to perform at a minimum the following job responsibilities: 1) Assisting in planning and maintaining a safe, clean, learning environment and in assuring the well-being and safety of the children in his/her care.

2) Exhibits a genuine nurturing, caring attitude to all children.

3) Maintains a positive, calm attitude and a soft voice, and encourages this attitude and voice in others working in the classroom.

4) Maintains a cooperative attitude of working together with the teacher, volunteers, and parents, in planning and implementing activities and other concerns involving the children.

Minimum requirements prior to hire: 1) Graduation from high school or GED, and some experience working with children of various ages.

College experience in Early Childhood Education a plus 2) Must complete Department of Investigation Fingerprinting, State Central Register Clearance, NYCDOE fingerprints and Completion of a Medical Form by a Licensed Physician 3) Provide 3 written reference letters
