Technical Business Analyst

Legends Hospitality

THE ROLE

The responsibilities for this position are to serve as a Technical Business Analyst to understand business requirements and to partner with the other Technical Services team members to design and deliver the appropriate technology solutions. The role will provide expert analysis on divisional and/or enterprise visions, help the stakeholder(s) establish and record requirements and anticipated technical deliverables. Once captured, liaise with the stakeholder(s), project management and internal and/external technical experts to ensure we collectively deliver on communicated commitments.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work closely with the business to analyze business and information technology processes and prepare essential groundwork for the technical development and delivery of solutions.
  • Solicit and document requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing documentation and procedures.
  • Provide detailed analysis of processes and workflows; set expectations on the required deliverables.
  • Draft mock-ups and lead design discussions, present options and help derive practical solutions.
  • Ensure requirements and deliverables are understood, agreed to, and signed off.
  • Identify the various technologies and dependencies toimplement and deliver on agreed upon solution(s).
  • Create detailed technical documentation of the desired business processes and the technical expectations.
  • Forge a tight working relationship with the organization’s technical architects and subject matter experts.
  • Partner with technical and project colleagues to define project-related tasks and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the technology teams to help manage project schedules, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Continuously monitor to ensure design and spend aligns with the committed deliverables.
  • Identify project risks and be solution oriented to ensure tight deadlines are met.
  • Partner to develop test plans and schedules, track and document the expected results of these plans.
  • Interact and tailor communications to the appropriate audience at all levels throughout the organization, including senior members of the technology organization and the line of business stakeholders.
  • Capture the service level expectations from external and/or internal business stakeholders, determine the appropriateness and set realistic expectations if required.
  • Ensure all service level expectations can be appropriately supported through vendor’s service level agreements (SLA) and internal operating level agreements (OLA).
  • Assist with adopting technical documentation to form process orientated user and support guides.


QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Three or more years of business analysis experience, with a strong technical bias.
  • Demonstrated track record of steering conversations that lead to appropriate decisions, defining system requirements that lead to operational efficiency and productivity through the use of technology
  • Documented experience with methodology and process related to Business Analysis
  • Strong business acumen
  • Very strong relationship building capabilities
  • Innovative thinking and vision
  • Solid understanding of technology, including web and database technologies
  • Excellent analytical and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
  • Diverse industry experience is a plus
  • Undergraduate Degree required
