Technical Editor – Active Secret Clearance Required with Security Clearance

Description: Ability to acquire and verify highly technical subject matter content by interviewing engineers and other technical experts, observing production methods or other demonstrations, and reviewing technical specifications, modification kits, blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, notes, manuals, and similar publications. Ability to discretely plan writing, editing and in-prosses reviews (both formal and informal) tasks required to complete project. Ability to manage project technical writing work from book plan/outline creation through on-time delivery. Ability to write highly technical content for procedure manuals, service manuals, and related technical publications that describes the installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment. Highly proficient in XML authoring. Requires a current Secret clearance (or higher) with an investigation w/in the past 6 years.COVID-19 continues to significantly impact our employees, families. Experience with military weapons systems or other highly complex technical systems. Experience authoring content to USAF and DON military standards. Experience authoring in S1000D 4.1 standard is preferred. Experience authoring in Arbortext Editor. Familiarity with Simplified Technical English.
