FeatherwoodHouston, 77034Schedule:Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Primary Job FunctionRecommend practices and procedures related to compliance for the efficient operation of the credit union.

Verify that changes to policies and procedures are implemented.

Perform audits and analyze reports for compliance.These duties may be performed at any credit union office as assigned.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStay attentive and aware of all compliance issues affecting the operation of the credit union, communicate these issues to their AVP and/or VP, and verify that the departments are adhering.Work with compliance team on keeping all current policies and procedures updated, create new policies and procedures as needed, and communicate changes to the employees.

Work with the Training Department to see that the appropriate Compliance training to the employees is provided.Perform tasks related to BSA and FINCEN using Verafin Software.

Determine compliance with policies and procedures.Responsible for SARs and CTR filing/compliance.Audit various departments and procedures on a random basis, including cash counts, loan audits, file maintenance reports, etc.

under the guidance of the VP of Training & Compliance.

Implement changes as approved.Work with outside auditors to help reconcile discrepancies and support the internal or external auditing functions.Generate, review, and analyze various reports for auditing or management review purposes.

Prepare monthly reports/ analyses as required.Responsible for information gathering and compilation of data for additional analysis or regulatory examinations/audits.Provide oversight and monitoring of fraud programs – prevention, detection and investigation through Verafin.Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties as required or assigned.Required Knowledge and AbilitiesKnowledge of regulations within the credit union industry.Ability to interpret regulations and laws and disseminate information.Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.Must have demonstrated advanced analysis and reporting skills.Ability to lead and communicate to employees effectively.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Capable of making sound judgments and decisions independently.Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.Ability to deal with numbers and details effectively.Exceptional research and problem solving skills; ability to think strategically.High School Diploma.A minimum of two years financial industry related experience required; experience in a Compliance or Audit role with a credit union or bank preferred.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, kneel, talk, hear, and climb stairs.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
