USAA: Lead Business Risk And Controls Advisor (Mortgage Fraud Risk) (Remote Work Available)

Purpose of Job 100% work from home available.We are currently seeking a talented Lead Business Risk and Controls Advisor (Mortgage Fraud Risk) for the San Antonio Home Office I.Primary responsibilities include developing and managing the Real Estate 1st line of defense (1LOD) Fraud Risk Management control oversight program.

Work will support functions aligned with the Enterprise Risk Management framework, Bank Fraud Risk Management Standards, and any other related USAA Policy or Standard.Works closely with Real Estate business stakeholders, Bank Fraud Management, Experience and Process owners to identify, assess and provide subject matter expertise in remediation of Fraud risks in Real Estate business processes.

Provides Fraud and risk related inputs to various Real Estate risk programs and activities.

Communicates potential fraud and abuse that may be taking place within Real Estate and works with business partners and risk partners to take action to mitigate.Promotes risk-awareness and the overall effectiveness of risk and compliance management programs, risk analytics and operations in the business.

This role will partner and collaborate with Compliance and Risk Management, as well as Business Operations, IT, Audit Services, and Regulators to support risk and compliance-based initiatives.

Responsible for supporting business leader adherence to the established risk framework and ongoing supervision of business controls; including, risk and control self-assessments, identification and evaluation of control effectiveness, identifying control failures, facilitating risk and compliance remediation, internal and external audits and regulatory exams, and monitoring of the first line of defense to minimize risk exposures and strengthen the overall control environment.

Once you begin the questions you will not be able to finish them at a later time and you will not be able to change your responses.Preferred Experience:8 or more years of relevant experience in a senior level position, with a large bank or financial services company.Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred.Experience developing and managing Bank Fraud Management programs.Experience in the development of targeted Fraud Training.In depth knowledge of Mortgage lending regulations and industry related standards (COSO, Bank Secrecy Act, FACT Act (FACTA) Red Flags Rule, Elder Financial Abuse) and experience implementing and communicating requirements clearly and professionally.Broad knowledge of Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) [FNMA, FHLMC, HUD] Fraud requirements for mortgage loans.

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential.Compensation:USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.

The salary range for this position is: $97,200.00-$175,000.00.Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.Geographical Differential : Geographic pay differential is additional pay provided to eligible employees working in locations where market pay levels are above the national average.Shift premium will be addressed on an individual-basis for applicable roles that are consistently scheduled for non-core hours.Benefits:At USAA our employees enjoy best-in-class benefits to support their physical, financial, and emotional wellness.
