We’re recruiting for two highly qualified Vice Presidents for a fintech in the South East –
– a VP Business Development (Hunter) and a VP Partner Success – Relationship Manager (analyzing and optimizing all marketing channels and lead aggregators).

The company is a fintech that grants loans to consumers via a Direct-to-Consumer online lending platform.

This early-stage company has won numerous awards and significant investments and is growing fast.

The roles are remote. 

The VP Business Development is a classic hunter, searching for places where large numbers of consumers can be reached with offers for loans. 

The VP Business Development will target traditional lead generators, such as: Credit Karma; Intuit; LendingTree; Even Financial; NerdWallet; Wallet Hub; Credit Sesame; Credible; Quinstreet; Monevo; Experian; Transunion; Crowdnection; Rocket Loans. 

The VP Business Development will target other places with large membership or numbers of consumers: AARP; AAA; Professional Associations such as AARN; Special Interest Clubs; Trade Unions; Marketplaces.

The VP Business Development will target lenders and financial institutions that are unlikely to grant loans to those with lower credit ratings: Credit Unions, Banks, maybe Captive Finance companies.

This is an early-stage company that is heading for a payout – likely an IPO.

We are looking for people willing to throw themselves into building the company and increasing the value for whatever comes next. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

What You’ll Do Day to Day:

Sales VP is responsible to research new verticals and develop a prospecting strategy to generate consumer financing sales within key industry verticals where CLIENT has access or control of content to market our brand of loan offering or services.

The verticals to target include Lead Sellers, Affiliate Media Publishers, Consumer lead marketplaces, Membership Clubs, Trade Unions, Associations, Employee Portals, Benefit and Payroll Companies, Financial services including Banks/Credit unions where CLIENT can white label its platform or provide services for a fee, Tax Prep, Credit Card marketing firms and Insurance companies.

A primary focus for this role will be to target and secure new partnerships with companies within the verticals outlined.

This is a challenging role that requires hard work, strong analytical and communication skills and the ability to get in the weeds and execute.

It’s a pure acquisition role and can be unlimited income potential with the right amount of focus, hard work and determination.

The ideal candidate will have existing experience, success and high-level contacts with key industry verticals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

CONSUMER LENDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 7+ years professional experience overall 4 years Leadership experience in account management, relationship management or business development with extraordinary performance record and experience handling technology partnerships Proven experience leading highly skilled professionals and enabling their ongoing success General/working understanding of API functionality Expertise in ecommerce, digital, consumer or commercial lending industry and channels, specialized industry consumer lending experience Exceptional skills in building rapport and credibility with partners, ability to influence and “sell” recommendations Consistent track record of accomplishment of rapidly growing relationships and driving account growth resulting in financial gain / goal attainment Strong skill and experience in using influence and negotiation abilities to improve strategic relationships and drive business growth Extraordinary professional writing skills, ability to develop well organized, easy to follow documentation appropriate for a specific audience (customer facing, internal, etc.) Strong communication and presentation skills that allow for effective business reviews with partners and senior executives Highly organized, detail oriented and possesses the ability to successfully lead multiple simultaneous projects and tasks Ability to quickly adapt to a constantly changing environment Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and analytics tools Proven work experience in developing models, performing analysis, and composing insights and recommendations Ability to travel 25-50% of the time depending on the time of year

University
