JOB DESCRIPTION:
- We are seeking a Windchill System Administrator to be responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of our Windchill PLM system.
- This position will support upgrades, enhancements and expansion of Windchill PLM capabilities and related PTC modules, throughout the organization.
- This role is also responsible for planning and managing system updates (installations, patches, etc.) to keep the system compliance with the latest software releases and our security guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The ability and willingness to develop robust testing processes, scripts and/or other procedures to ensure operational excellence of the Windchill environment.

- Experience with MS SQL databases, queries, Apache/Tomcat, LDAP.
- Experience with XML production/publishing applications, such as Arbortext, Abortext Command Language (ACL), Arbortext Styler, FOSI, etc. a plus.
- Experience with technologies such as XML, DTD/Schemas, XPath, Xquery, etc. a plus.
- Experience with MIL-STD and S1000D XML standards a plus.
- Experience with XML, Web Service Integrations, Ability to write Java for Windchill applications, Infoengine tasks, Webservices, REST endpoints, APIs.
- Experience with query builder to generate custom reports.
- Experience with customizations using Windchill UI Architectures Template Processor, DCA, JCA, MVC, Form processors, Data utilities, Action Validators.
- Participate in the planning, design, documentation, implementation and support of a complex PLM system.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues and make recommendations.
- The ability to work with software technical support, account management teams and/or consultants to resolve technical issues.
- Understanding of networking principles, information security principles and application deployment best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- 6 years of related experience supporting business applications.
- 4+ years experience with Windchill PLM applications (PDMLink, ProjectLink, ThingWorx)
- 3+ years experience in relational databases
- Self-motivated to participate in industry organizations/communities to keep informed of technology trends, best practices, etc.
- Self-motivated and able to build relationships with customers, IT professionals and others roles from different teams/functions.
- Must be available to work overtime
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience working with CAD tools, such as Creo, Solidworks, AutoCad, Inventor.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Best Practices.
- Experience with EPM/Doc/Part/BOM management, version control, change management and file vault configurations.
- Experience with Object Initialization Rules (OIRs), Lifecycles, Workflows, Type and Attributes.
- Experience with managing users/groups and permissions (ACLs).
- Experience with other PTC software products a plus.
- Proficiency with PTC Windchill installing, operating and administering applications Windchill PLM applications (PDMLink, ProjectLink, ThingWorx, License servers, etc.).
- Proficiency in Windows operating system administration.
