Anthem: Small Group Sales Intern – Fall 2021

Join us and together we will DRIVE THE FUTURE OF HEALTH CARE.This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work that means more to you and those we serve at one of America’s leading health care companies and a Fortune Top 50 Company.Our sales department is vital in providing consultative services to individuals in need of health and ancillary insurance products for 14 states across the country.Interns should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, team environment and will finish the internship having obtained broad experience in various aspects of insurance sales, support, and marketing.

These roles will be responsible for supporting our Small Groups Sales team as a paid internship.

Possible roles may include: Licensed (Health license) and appointed in Small Group for 13 of our 14 states (NH excluded).

Trained on the nuances of small group eligibility/requirements for multiple products (such as ACA, ABF, and MEWA accounts) and markets.

Responsible for renewing small group accounts in 13 states across the enterprise.

Producing small group alternate proposals out of Salesforce for the renewing small groups.

Conducts outbound phone calls to renewing groups, assisting with addressing questions for in-force groups, or producing alternative small group proposals.

Tasked with the day to day upkeep/maintenance for our in-force groups, even those outside of renewal.

Assists with items such as new hire on-boarding or removing members from the group account via Employer Access Portal.

Utilizes and navigates Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and many other internal systems on a daily basis.

Works alongside our full-time small group agents to ensure client’s needs are addressed.

Works with internal departments such as enrollment and billing, broker services, etc.
