Business Development Representative

This is a Contract position in Addison, TX posted June 1, 2021.

We are looking to hire an ambitious Business Development Representative based in our Dallas, Texas office. This role is critical as we build out a world-class sales organization and grow our presence in North America.

This person will be responsible for introducing us to new prospects, identifying customer challenges and goals, uncovering and qualifying opportunities and growing pipeline through email outreach, social media prospecting and cold calls. The role will involve researching and identifying relevant stakeholders while successfully executing a combination of inbound lead follow-up and outbound lead generation to build pipeline in the U.S.

Job Requirements:

  • Generate new business opportunities and schedule highly qualified meetings and product demonstrations
  • Provide sales support for the field sales team by effectively managing a lead pipeline and developing a strategy for long-term sustained success
  • Build prospect lists and execute outreach processes
  • Qualify prospects in accordance with sales process, determining project timeframe, key contacts and funding sources
  • Data entry of prospect and contact data in CRM database
  • Measure and provide feedback on effectiveness of outbound phone and email campaigns
  • Present and articulate Basis Technologies product features, value propositions and benefits
  • Support and drive attendance to local and national marketing events and tradeshows

Requirements and Personal Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Sales experience over the phone and an impeccable phone presence
  • Understanding of Social Media for business (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 15% per year
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Highly competitive
  • Demonstrated strong leadership abilities
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong time management, organizational and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to understand IT-related technologies in large organizations with a strong interest and understanding of new technologies
  • At least 1-year experience with inside sales or similar
