About you CloudSense has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Representative (BDR), to join the North America Team.

The purpose of a BDR is to establish contact with firms in CloudSense’s target verticals, qualify their needs in CPQ and order management, and identify the potential for follow up by our Sales team.

You will operate closely alongside our sales and marketing functions, thus developing valuable skills in both areas.

You are a talented and driven individual with previous experience in a sales-related role.

You have an interest and a good understanding of technology and enjoy uncovering new revenue opportunities.

You will need to be able to understand complex selling cycles and be comfortable with managing conversations with senior technology buyers.

Your Responsibilities The role involves researching prospects, working on inbound and outbound marketing campaigns and clearly communicating our value proposition to senior decision-makers to acquire sales-qualified opportunities.

This role works with Marketing to uncover and create new opportunities that result in closed business, as well as working closely with the sales team to ensure qualified opportunities lead to closed business.

* Call and email prospects and respond to all inbound leads within a timely fashion* Create quality opportunities through email, social media and phone calls to schedule new business meetings with key decision-makers* Strategically develop new leads and opportunities through outbound research* Educate prospects on CloudSense products and services* Recognize the potential to purchase and book appointments for sales with qualified prospects* Document daily activities in Salesforce CRM and Outreach* Meet activity-based targets and appointment setting goals* Develop and refine an ideal customer profile through tracking conversion metrics* Recommend process enhancements for more targeted marketing efforts and improved selling techniques* Work closely with the sales team and field marketing to accelerate the sales cycle and to expand reach into target accounts* Build a prospect pipeline and communicate this to the sales team* Represent and embrace the CloudSense brand at all times in all written and oral communications Competencies: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Bachelor’s degree* Prior experience in telephone sales generation, telemarketing, or relatable experience* Good interpersonal, vocal skills and an articulate speaker on the phone, and with a positive, professional attitude* Understanding of sales processes and strong sales acumen* Previous account entry and lead qualification experience* Technology software or services experience advantageous* Ability to research and prospect using phone, email and online social networking* Excellent time management and motivated by personal performance* A positive attitude and desire to exceed expectations at every opportunity* Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a focus on the quality of opportunities* An extremely motivated individual, eager to work hard and keen to build a career in sales Some of the benefits you will love: * 25 days of Annual Leave* Healthcare (Medical, Dental & Vision)* 401K (3% Contribution) * Paid volunteer time* Training & development* Company day & monthly socials
