Event Sales Associate

Generate and qualify leadsRespond to any event inquiries and convert inquiries into booked eventsCold call potential customers’ and turn potential customers’ into actual customers.

20 – 40 daily calls requiredMeet with potential customers for new businessClearly communicate to prospective clients the benefits of Sweetheart Jems Events and event packagesAssess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product featuresProvide customers with quotationsNegotiate the terms of an agreement and close salesUnderstand the unique needs of different types of events, such as corporate events, birthday parties, weddings and other social eventsRemain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available optionsCross sell products, such as: A la Carte services availableBuild productive trust relationships with customersIdentifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitorsRepresent Sweetheart Jems Events at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrationsIdentify new markets and business opportunitiesTrack sales in weekly pipeline report and send copies to the office via email or faxConsistently meet or exceed individual weekly and monthly sales goalEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service“Go the extra mile” to drive salesRequirements:Excellent verbal and written business communication skillsAbility to immediately own and resolve problemsBroad knowledge and experience in event planning is a plus, but not requiredProven working experience as sales associateProven ability to achieve sales targetsBasic understanding of sales principles and customer service practicesProficiency in EnglishWorking knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirementsTrack record of over-achieving sales quotaSolid communication and interpersonal skillsCustomer service focusKnowledge of relevant computer applicationsHigh school diploma; BS degree in Events, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality or related fields would be a plusBasic knowledge of business principlesKey Competencies:Planning and strategizingPersuasivenessAdaptabilityNegotiation skillsResilience and tenacityStress toleranceGoal drivenJob Type: CommissionExperience:Sales, Marketing, Events or Hospitality: 3 years (Required)Education:High school or equivalent (Required)Location:Dallas, TX (Required)
