Role: Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Webscale Networks grew 108% in 2020, powering thousands of storefronts, particularly those leveraging newer trends with headless and progressive web app (PWA) architectures.

This growth is expected to continue as merchants demand more flexibility, scale, and security, coupled with fast, simple deployments, for seamless user experiences.

Webscale the Safest Cloud for Ecommerce, announced March 2nd, 2021 the closing of $26 million in growth capital financing from investors and Silicon Valley Bank.

(The Series C round was led by BGV, STCAP Ventures and Mohr Davidow Ventures, with participation from Grotech Ventures.)

We are looking to grow our Sales Development team to help us manage the ever-growing demand for our solutions and to drive new customer engagement.

The Sales Development Representative team is a critical component of our go-to-market strategy and presents an outstanding opportunity to learn fundamental sales skills in preparation for an exciting career in high-tech sales.

This role holds an important position at the top of the sales funnel for the entire company.

The SDR is often our customer’s first experience with Webscale Networks so you need to be able to make a great first impression to qualify leads and identify what the appropriate next steps should be.

The ideal SDR candidate is someone who has the ability to master both inbound & outbound pipeline creation on their way to eventually becoming a successful Account Executive.

What You’ll Do // Your Impact

Qualify & convert inbound leads from web inquiries, demonstration requests, content downloads, webinars, conferences Executing targeted outbound campaign to identify new contacts, establish the need and fit, and arrange a product introduction Arranging discovery calls and well-qualified product demonstrations for sales teams Meet and exceed quarterly qualified leads quota to ensure pipeline objectives Working out of our San Antonio, Texas office (in-person) Gain SaaS sales experience by working with enterprise account executives Use the leading sales software tools to manage your book of business

What Gives You An Edge

6+ months prior sales experience (previous SDR/BDR experience in CDNs, hosting, e-commerce technologies, digital agency, cloud hosting, managed-hosting a plus!) Passionate about developing their career in sales Embraces & implements feedback given A proven track record of successful outbound cold calling Experienced in working in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment Experience in tools such as SFDC, Outreach, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Lusha, LiveChat a plus BA/BS preferred but not required Excellent written & verbal communication skills Highly driven, intelligent, motivated, and coachable Prior experience working at a tech startup
