Sales Representative – Building Materials


This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted June 18, 2021.

We are an established and successful supplier of High Quality building materials out of Austin, TX. After years in the business, we have put together a portfolio of products and materials that meet our criteria and Austin’s need for high standards of quality.

We are able lock amazing discounts on these products through buying in large quantities and sourcing directly. We mainly supply Wood Floors, Tile, Garage Doors, European Style Interior Doors, Iron doors, Lighting Fixtures and Plumbing Fixtures.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Search, identify, and develop new business by making calls and scheduling meetings with local Designers, Architects, GCs, Builders, and investors.
  • Conduct research and acquire in-depth knowledge of all products sold by the company in order to properly educate clients on the lines represented and guide

them to the right products for their projects.

  • Serve as liaison between new clients and General Manager to prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Assist clients with questions and maintain an on-going dialogue to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Create weekly sales/activity reports.
  • Attend industry-related networking events to promote our products and exchange ideas with other professionals
  • Monitor industry trends to stay abreast of changes in demand and identify potential opportunities for company growth

What You Need for this Position

  • Minimum of two years in outside sales experience
  • Technical knowledge of building materials: especially wood flooring, tile, and stone
  • Naturally outgoing and articulate personality with strong closing skills
  • Strong initiative required to be successful in role
  • Must be willing to work after-hours and on weekends
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
  • Must have valid drivers license and own transportation
  • Bachelor’s Degree or experience in Interior Design is a plus
