Water Treatment Chemical Sales Representative


This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted June 17, 2021.

  A progressive regional water treatment company is looking for an experienced water treatment chemical sales representative for sales and service of water treatment chemicals (and associated equipment) in their Austin, TX territory.

Rep will take over an existing territory and focus on new and existing customers in the commercial, institutional and light industrial markets.

Rep will focus on chemicals used in boiler, cooling tower and closed loop systems in the territory.

Specific responsibilities will include:
Day to day management of existing assigned accounts Development of new sales through cold calling and networking Maintain effective communications with client and company management Maintain industry knowledge through training and online programs Management of technical support team, when assigned.

Company offers a base salary of 60-80K, excellent commission plan, company car, expenses, home based office (cell phone/laptop) and comprehensive benefits package.
Company is looking for someone with the following qualifications:
4 year degree in a technical field highly desired but will consider industry experience in lieu of education At least 3 years of direct industrial water treatment chemical experience Previous sales experience highly desired Ability to work well with little supervision Strong mechanical aptitude Effective communication skills, both oral and written Ability to write intelligent technical reports in a timely fashion Highly motivated for sales.

Job Requirements:
Analyze sales trends to increase sales Maintain sales area records on customer sales Searching a sales representative to complement sales team Drive outside sales within territory Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales Lead all sales within territory Develop a territory sales plan Utilizing sales system to optimize sales calls Complete job site survey reports for all new customer job sites and existing customer job sites Mastering the sales representative position Provide weekly sales updates to sales management Develop and maintain sales forecasts on anticipated territory sales Exceed sales goals in assigned territory Coordinate sales calls and associated paper work with inside sales/sales support Exerting sales effort necessary to meet sales quota Achieve sales goals for assigned accounts and assigned sales area Achieve and exceed territory sales goals Meet or exceed sales call activity goals for new sales Conduct sales presentations to customers Succeed in company sponsored training classes
