– Radiology plans, designs, implements, coordinates, and evaluates educational programs and activities for designated departments based upon identified needs for the Radiography Program.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:Masters and Bachelors Degree Required; Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and registration in radiography: Holds current Licensure by Texas Department of State Health services (MRT).Work Experience:Document two (2) years of full time experience in radiography.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Communication Skills:Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)Writing/Composing (Correspondence/Reports)Other Skills:Analytical, Medical TermsAdvanced Education:Advance Training Specialty: One (1) year as a Joint Review Committee of Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved instructor preferred.Advanced certification training in Cat Scan and/or MRI.Work Schedule:FlexibleOther Requirements:Member of American Society of Radiologic technologist (ASRT) and/or Texas State Radiologic Technology (TSRT); staff development and training.

American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration in one advanced certification preferred.Typical Duties That May Be Performed1.

Supervises and evaluates students in clinical and didactic education.

Conducts student performance evaluations2.

Supervises and evaluates students for competency..3.

Provides student guidance and academic counseling as needed..4.

Teaches in area of expertise5.

Prepares course syllabi, course outlines and lesson plans6.

Assigns and prepares clinical education rotation schedules.7.

Maintains accurate student records.8.

Conducts orientation for new students.9.

Participates on various inter/intradepartmental committees.10.

Displays the highest degree of professional ethics and conduct11.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned by program director.12.

Maintains annual mandatory JCAHO continuing education and CPR rectification’s as required13.

Adheres to all Harris Health System and departmental policies.14.
