Position Summary:

The Transport Driver position is responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer vehicle and loading, unloading, delivering product to designated locations. Must possess a valid CDL, Class A driver’s license for the state of residence with acceptable record: knowledge of and compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as well as State and Local Department of Motor Vehicle regulations. Record and maintain documents required by the company and DOT. Follows all safety procedures as set forth by the Company..

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for ensuring and maintaining a safe environment through compliance of all Company, local, State and Federal mandates or programs.
  • You will operate tractor-trailer safely following FMCSR and DMV regulations. Comply with FMCSR record keeping requirements including but not limited to Driver’s Daily Record of Duty Status, Vehicle Inspections, and related necessary documents. 
  • You will be accountable for the proper count and verification of all incoming and outgoing product loads and returns.
  • You will be required to load/unload equipment from the sale centers and count the number of dollies, baskets or racks that are being brought back on the trailer and document the equipment being returned.
  • You will maintain the cleanliness of tractor interior.
  • You will report any issues of problems encountered during the execution of duties to Department Manager/Supervisor.  
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • You have a strong analytical ability to gather and interpret data, in situations where the problems are somewhat complex (dealing with people, procedures and equipment).
  • You work well in a team-based environment, have solid interpersonal skills, and you are not averse to change.
  • You must be able to perform basic math and computer skills; SAP, Oracle, CPD preferred.
  • You act with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset: focus on improving efficiencies while decreasing waste.


  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience driving tractor-trailers, with no accident or points in the last three years required.
  • Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to be doubles certified within the first month of employment, depending on location.
  • Must possess clean, verifiable Class A driver’s license.
  • Must pass DOT Physical, DOT Road Test and FMCSA Pre-Employment Drug Test and Clearinghouse Query. 
  • Knowledge and compliance of FMCSR as well as State and/or Local DMV regulations.
  • Ability to record and maintain documents required by the company and DOT.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including snow and ice as well as temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds, stack/unstack or carry, push/pull, sit/stand/stoop for prolonged periods of time, climb, perform repetitive motions, perform frequent reaching and use of fingers, mental and visual ability to identify rack and/or container labeling, and work in a loud and hot/cold environment.  
  • You must have good written and oral English communication skills.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work 8+ hour shifts, work store hours with early morning starts, irregular and/or rotating shifts, including split days off (non-consecutive days off) and work holidays and weekends (frequently required).
  • Anticipated Schedule: Monday-Sunday; Days Off Varies.
