Driver -Per Diem

Overview: AdCare Rhode Island is a 59-bed inpatient alcohol and drug treatment center with a mission of providing transformational recovery experiences to individuals struggling with substance dependence.The state-of-the-art facility is nestled on 30 acres of peaceful New England woodland in historic North Kingstown.

The campus is conveniently located just minutes away from both the airport and downtown Providence.

AdCare RI is also located close to pristine beaches and recreational areas for outdoor, therapeutic opportunities.

The newly renovated facility is outfitted with semi-private rooms with private baths, fitness center, basketball courts, and many other amenities.

Responsibilities: Per Diem hours.

Responsible for providing safe transportation for clients to and from the facility from various locations, including their home or other medical facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities: to include but not limited to the following: Complies with local traffic regulations.Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.Reports delays or accidents.Load or unloads baggage or express checked by passengers in baggage compartment.Assist passengers to enter and leave car, and holds umbrellas in wet weather.Performs miscellaneous errands such as store runs for patients, mail to and from post office.Keep vehicle clean, polished, and in operating condition.Complies with company dress code.During all transports Meets and greets all clients in a professional and polite demeanor.

Makes new clients feel welcomed and comfortable during trip.Answers any questions that new clients may have during transport to help orientate them before arriving at facility.

Complies with company’s drug free work environment.

Qualifications: Education/Experience:Previous transportation experience preferred.

Knowledge of addiction and chemical dependency.

Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid MA Driver’s License.

Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or HiSet required All positions require a TST, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, including THC and background records check.
