Billingual English- Spanish Account Manager

Avalon Plus

This is a Part-time position in Houston, TX posted December 12, 2021.

As part of the Account Management Department Team, the Account Manager works in conjunction with payers, patients, providers and Avalon Plus operation’s team.

Duties and responsibilities
Coordinate the patient’s care and address any questions regarding coverage.
Meet with patient and their family members to assist them, identify potential problems and questions they may have.
Arrange specific appointments when necessary.
Arrange airport travel, hotel accommodations and other concierge services.
Assist Avalon Plus’ Medical Case Management and Account Management departments to obtain information, claims, medical records and other information.
For VIP cases, meet patients at the airport and arrange premium assistance.
Maintain a good relationship with the providers in the area
Work in conjunction with each hospital’s international department to coordinate the patient’s care
Assist with obtaining estimate medical costs
Offer Translation services (Spanish only)

– English and Spanish ***
Preferred and required skills, education, knowledge, experience, traits:
Competent and well oriented in the use of all office equipment and proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook); claims processing systems; fax; Scan documentation; Mitel phone system, answer calls.
Written and oral proficiency in English and Spanish required.
Quick Book experience (a must).
Efficient in organizing and maintaining accurate records; documentation is key.
Education: High school diploma; two years of college (preferred).
Skills preferred: Experience with health care insurance claims; knowledge of healthcare industry; provider relations
