Business Development Director

About the Company: One of North America’s largest solar project developers, delivering on the promise of clean energy with operations and maintenance (O&M) and asset management services for solar and energy storage across North America. The company manages a diverse utility-scale and distributed generation portfolio with experienced professionals backed by state-of-the-art technology. About the Position: Hiring for a Director of Business Development to drive the growth of the company’s utility-scale solar and energy storage project pipeline through engagements with large, strategic customers, utilities, cooperatives, and municipalities and via support of our M&A teams. Experience with power purchase agreement negotiations, comfort, and experience with being the face of the company at customer meetings with enthusiasm to build customer solutions, a strong knowledge of renewable project development, and customer relationship management is a must. Requirements: BS and/or BA, MBA preferred WECC energy market experience Experience and understanding of the U.S. utility-scale solar and energy storage markets 3 years of increasingly progressive development/origination experience Experienced negotiating PPAs required Experience working for a solar or energy storage developer Remote an option for the right candidate
