Job Overview: We are currently seeking talented professionals to become our regional Business Development Managers.

The positions serve as an applications engineering specialist accountable for identifying, developing, signing, and growing business opportunities jointly as a member of the regional sales team by leveraging technical knowledge along with Linde’s robust product service offerings.

The positions work with little supervision, receiving general guidance and direction.

The positions will have responsibility for growing industrial gases and equipment business through value-based technical and consultative sales in designated geography.

Position locations available are in the Chicagoland area .

Industry responsibilities will be primarily food and beverage.

Primary Responsibilities: New customer acquisition and growth at existing customers in designated territory.

Tasks include, but not limited to, prospecting, lead generation and qualification, market and customer strategy, business case development and analysis, proposal development and technology pricing analysis and recommendations, sales technical support, projects implementation, and start up oversight.

Efforts will result in profitable sales growth consistent with Linde objectives and specific objectives for the industrial customers and regional business.

Consistently identify, research, and analyze likely markets, regional and local economic/project activity, competition, evolving industry needs, product application and business opportunities.

Initiate, structure, and implement market initiatives, growth campaigns, and associated customer communications.

Monitor competitive activity in the territory and ensure that appropriate response strategies are formulated.

Understand financial, user/customer, internal operations, competitive advantage, and Linde technology portfolio value and differentiators.

Establish and grow relationships with potential customers, industry consultants, and vendors.

Know and cooperate with internal business partners including, but not limited to, sales, R&D, regional and national business development, applications equipment and customer service personnel.

Utilize and leverage all available Linde resources to achieve goals.

Participate with other applications sales engineering personnel, key account Job Requirements: Required Qualifications: B.S.
