Dow has an inspiring and dynamic opportunity for an Analytics Associate Solution Manager.  The role will align to Dow’s Design Your Day approach and allows employees to work remotely but will also require onsite work based on project work and role needs. The selected candidate will be expected to live a commutable distance from one of our IT Hubs in Midland (MI, USA) or Houston (TX, USA)  OR in Collegeville, PA at a frequency to be agreed upon by the employee and their leader.

 

About you

As the Analytics Associate Solution Manager, you will use in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge, own a moderately sized portfolio of solutions and systems (applications) and manage its lifecycle – analysis, design, implementation/adoption, optimization, and end-of-life retirement of digital solutions, delivering advanced functional and business capabilities.

 

Working hand-in-hand with a multi-disciplinary IT expert team (analysts/designers/developers/support), you will strive to deliver innovative digital solutions and perform a functional and technical requirements analysis – with emphasis on experience, simplification, automation, efficiency, reliability. Oversees the development, optimization, implementation and adoption of solutions leveraging best-in-class mobile, web, desktop, cloud technologies. Identifies opportunities for innovating with digital capabilities aiming to accelerate Dow’s digital transformation.

 

Also, you can complete each of the following tasks:

  • Requirements Analysis – Explores, analyzes, maps business and function requirements. 

  • Experience Mapping – Maps user journeys, user experience (UX), user stories (user features) to facilitate employee experience (EX) / customer experience (CX) transformation. 

  • Accountable for solution lifecycle, including functional / technical design – solution architecture, develop value case for buy vs make decisions – integration of third-party off-the-shelf software, develops / integrates / tests / builds quality solutions, and retires services per agreed upon roadmap. 

  • Support team in the ability to operate in both waterfall and agile delivery approaches. 

  • End-to-End Integration – Coordinates with other Managers for end-to-end process optimization and integration. 

  • Roadmaps – Defines a solution(s) portfolio improvement and innovation roadmap with proper sequencing and prioritization of projects; Help assess resource, technology, investment needed in delivering against the roadmap. 

  • Solution Expertise – supports and foster a community of solution experts and acts as a thought leader in his/her domain, able to step into development when needed.

  • Assist with workload analysis for team to ensure proper resource alignment for capacity planning. 

  • Assists with financial management by managing solution lifecycle costs. 

  • Works with stakeholders to understand and enable MA&D activities, as needed

 

A successful candidate will be someone with deep technical expertise (and interest) in using Power BI in an Enterprise setting and have thorough knowledge of Tabular Editor, Composite Models, and the appropriate use cases for datamarts, dataflows, and datasets.  She/he will share their Power BI expertise within the team while building expertise in the SAP BW/HANA space (via KT from senior SAP BW architect) to fully represent our analytics architecture. 

 

Required qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency () process.

 

Your preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree discipline in Computer Science, Information Systems or another technical related field
  • Strong organizational, facilitative and communication skills
