We are currently seeking a Maintenance Instruments Supervisor for our Cedar Bayou facility in Baytown, TX, where you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the facilities instrumentation assigned to your area of responsibility.

You’ll manage the group’s responsibilities, goals and objectives to achieve desired results and ensure alignment with the company goals and objectives.

Additionally, you’ll be responsible for assuring that personnel are available for maintenance and troubleshooting instrumentation throughout the facility.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Responsibilities: Establishing goals and ensures compliance for the Instrument DepartmentResponsible for managing the Instrument Departments safety, work performance and quality of repair.Conducting team performance reviews yearly and provide coaching on a routine basis.Ensure compliance with of Management of Change (MOC) and Alarm & Interlock Bypass proceduresComplete Environmental Title V Reporting for all unit compliance instrumentation equipmentIdentifying training needs for technicians new to Cedar Bayou and continuing training for new equipment entering the siteEnsuring that proper tools, meters, and test equipment are available for the TechniciansScheduling manpower for turnaroundsManaging timesheets and vacation forms.Supporting the development, construction, and startup of projects.Ensuring that PMs are created and executed to ensure compliance with facilities Mechanical Integrity Program, environmental compliance, and Quality programCoordinating the commissioning and startup of instrument and electrical systemsProviding technical expertise to solve electrical and field instrumentation issuesConducting informal training sessions for other disciplines affected by control systems.Developing and improving maintenance procedures and implement improvements to work processes Required Qualifications: Associates Degree in Instrument Technology (or related field) with 5+ years of petrochemical experience or 15+ years of petrochemical industry experience.Good communication skills: written, verbal, and presentationMust be self-motivated, able to lead and influence others, manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyMust be proficient in reading and understanding design documents such as P& IDs, instrument loop drawings, schematics, etc.Must work effectively with operations, maintenance, engineering and plant management, and also be able to communicate technical concepts to engineers and non-engineers (peers, manager, vendors, consultants and customers).Must be a self-starter, should have the ability to multi-task and possess good organization and time management skills.

In addition, the candidate must possess excellent leadership and communication skills, and must demonstrate the ability to interact well with others.
