Commercial Portfolio Manager

This is a Full-time position in San Antonio, TX posted June 6, 2021.

The Commercial Portfolio Manager (CPM) partners with the Commercial Relationship Managers to provide financial, credit, and trend analysis for the delivery of the bank’s credit products and services to commercial banking clients and prospect.

The CPM evaluates credit requests and assists Relationship Managers in development of credit structure and risk assessment.

The CPM team and Relationship Managers goal is to develop a strong working relationships to cultivate a profitable base of business of both new and existing clients. The CPM team monitors assigned credit relationships for compliance, collateral monitoring, and credit deterioration; keeps apprised of political and regulatory issues to determine their impact on specific industries or clients; works closely with the Assistants and loan operations departments to ensure efficiency and accuracy of loan documents.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform credit analysis of loan packages (i.e.

quality analysis and risk identification) within the time sensitivities as agreed.

Work closely with Relationship Managers to achieve revenue goals while maintaining overall portfolio credit quality Ensure origination activities and ongoing portfolio management are consistent with set goals Effectively develop the PM role including improvements in productivity and efficiency Perform underwriting for new credits and renewals.

Independently prepare and present Loan Reviews Keep regular client interaction to support and complement Relationship Manager both for new credit and ongoing servicing and problem resolution Complete Special Projects as needed Respond to customer inquiries to promote superior service standards.

Assist in evaluation of loan portfolio quality and assist in problem loan administration Provide annual reviews, site visits, including monitoring for current financial information, and financial convenient compliance.

Comply with bank policy and Federal/State regulations.

Participate in all required Compliance training, either online or in house. 

Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of equivalent experience in credit and Commercial and Industrial Lending – specifically, cash flow and collateral analysis.

Prior management experience preferred Competency in financial analysis and credit structuring.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Financial spreadsheet systems.
