nnNissan is currently seeking to fill an opening for a Compliance Manager at our Irving, TX automotive services financing arm.nn nn Life at Nissan encompasses everything that inspires both the quality of our vehicles and the quality of our people.

Company-wide, you’ll find fast learners and self-starting engines as well as people who are quick to embrace change and take an idea into overdrive.nn nnThe Compliance Manager will:nn Be responsible for the on-going monitoring and auditing of NMACs internal, customer-related operations, e.g., credit, customer service, collections, etc., and relevant 3rd party vendors for compliance with Federal consumer financial protection laws and regulations.

This individual will be responsible for identifying potential risks of harm to consumers through on-going monitoring or periodic compliance audits and escalating these risks to the appropriate operational and Compliance management.

This person will operate under the direction of the Senior Manager of Compliance & Risk who will set internal compliance priorities.

nnQualified Candidates Must Have:nn 5+ years or more of professional experience in an automotive captive finance company or financial institution with progressively greater responsibilities.

Highly effective written and verbal presentation skills.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Senior and Executive Management.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple work assignments with ongoing deadlines.

Ability to work independently with minimum instruction or supervision, under pressure, and in a multi-tasking environment.

Flexible, proactive working style.

Adaptive to a team environment.

Conflict resolution, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Experience establishing a completely new program from concept to implementation as well as leading efforts to document, monitor, and improve it.

Experience selecting and managing vendors are desired.

Project management skills are required.

Experience working with Purchasing, Finance, Risk, and Legal professionals is desired.

Experience reading, writing, and speaking Spanish in a business setting are desired.

nnFamiliarity with state and federal laws and regulations in the area of consumer protection:nn Consumer Leasing Act (a.k.a., CLA/Reg M) Equal Credit Opportunity Act (a.k.a., ECOA/Reg B) Truth-In-Lending Act (a.k.a., TILA/Reg Z) Fair Credit Reporting Act (a.k.a., FCRA) Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (a.k.a., FDCPA) Privacy portion of Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (a.k.a., G-L-B/Privacy Act/Reg P) E-sign Act Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA) Dodd-Frank Act on Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.
