The Associate Director of Sales is an experienced senior level hotel sales role that reports directly to the Director of Sales.

Responsibilities include managing and leading the sales staff as well as managing select key accounts.POSITION PURPOSE: Assist the Director of Sales in meeting the sales and revenue goals of the hotel by:Solicit group business that enables the hotel to meet and/or exceed revenue goals in rooms and food and beverage.Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.Assist in the directing of group sales activities including management and mentoring of team membersPrepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance.Participate in Revenue Strategy meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality service to customers.Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONSIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions: * Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.

* Participate as team player with all departments.

* Assist with reports and/or competition data collection.A minimum of 3-5 years previous sales experience, proficient in general computer knowledge, supervisory experience, and able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces and profiling accounts.

Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation and organization skills of utmost importance.Experience:3-5 years: 3 years (Required)
