Michael Page has partnered with a reputable boutique investment firm in Austin who is looking to bring on a new Director/ VP of Operations to manage their Austin based portfolio.

Client Details

Austin based investment firm with a diverse portfolio of local multifamily, office and industrial properties.


The Director of Operations will be responsible for the financial and operational success of the firms multifamily and commercial assets.

As a leader you will also be expected to train and develop your staff to operate at their highest potential making policy and procedure changes where needed.

Below are some basic responsibilities of the role:
Ensure properties are maximizing revenue and meeting financial expectations by maintaining adequate operating margins and cost control initiatives Develop, present, and execute comprehensive annual business plans and budgets for each asset.

Help develop a capital improvements schedule for each property and coordinate with internal construction team to achieve.

Identify leading indicators to help increase financial performance of our portfolio Prepare and distribute timely reports to owners, suggesting improvements where needed Hire, train & develop direct reports (Regional Managers) Develop new policies and procedures & implement as needed.

Quarterly site visits to each property additional ad hoc projects as directed by owner

The ideal candidate must have the following:
5+ years of multifamily operations at an executive level Proven leader Extremely organized and detail oriented Results orientation with a strong work ethic.

Must be tenacious, with the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and when to look for alternative approaches Strong multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize work based on business and operational needs Strong verbal and written communication skills with an eagerness to collaborate Able to take on ambiguous challenges and arrive at concise conclusions Microsoft Office suite
