Director, Strategy

Legend Labs

This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted September 7, 2021.

Legend Labs Directors lead project engagements while delivering expert strategic brand and communications counsel to clients.

Oftentimes they act as the primary client contact on projects, and help coordinate and manage an internal team of senior experts, junior analysts, and creatives.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead brand and communications projects:
Provide brand, communications, and digital counsel to senior-level clients.

Develop creative campaign ideas and communications tactics.

Draft statements, messaging, releases, and other written communications.

Synthesize research findings and data into clear and actionable insights.

Lead the development of documents and presentations that clearly convey communications research, recommendations, and strategies.

Lead client meetings and stakeholder interviews.

Work with junior analysts to conduct brand, competitor, and industry research.

Present deliverables to clients in-person and on video conference calls.

Regularly surface trends and news relevant to Legend Labs clients.

Identify new business opportunities and support business development efforts.

Manage projects, internal teams, and client relationships:
Act as the primary contact for senior-level clients.

Ensure project deadlines and requirements are met.

Help to create and manage all deliverables.

Escalate operational, resource, budget, or timeline issues.

Help develop and mentor junior talent.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and strong academic record.

6-12 years of relevant experience (e.g.

management consulting, branding, PR, digital, advertising, journalism, communications).

Strong digital acumen.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in conveying complex ideas and concepts.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work and communicate with individuals at the most senior levels of an organization.

Willingness to travel (up to ~20% of time).
