Director, Supply Chain Systems


This is a Full-time position in Austin, TX posted August 30, 2021.

The Director, Supply Chain Systems will be responsible for leading the discovery, development and execution of the SC Planning, S&OP and Purchasing technology project roadmap.

The leader will have end-to-end responsibilities including collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch.

The right candidate will possess a strong technical program management background and will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects.

You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-delivery vs required functionality, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes, are capable of thriving in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.

This position can be located in either Philadelphia, PA or Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities Establish a deep understanding of goPuff’s internal forecasting, demand planning, S&OP and replenishment processes that drive the overall supply chain Advocate for advancement of SC technology; identifying current state system and process gaps that drive the technology roadmap to optimize SC processes through enhanced systems Lead for system design between internal and external teams as well as outside merchants and vendors to develop optimal solution Convert business requirements to high level technical requirements and break high level requirements down into functional requirements Drive System training and adoption within SC and external teams Qualifications MBA or advanced degree in engineering, operations research, mathematics, or computer science 8-10 years of experience leading technology projects Supply chain planning and optimization experience Advanced knowledge of Agile development processes Knowledge of professional software engineering practices, best practices for the software development life cycle Advanced presentation skills and the ability to guide and influence senior leadership High attention to detail and proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced online environment
