We are searching for people who want to join us in building “Technology for Life”.Job Summary:The Business Development Manager will support the introduction and development of Draeger’s Industrial Standby Rescue solutions in the US.

The role will involve introducing and promoting Draeger’s range of specialized equipment in conjunction with the many onsite services provided by the company.

The person will be responsible for developing a path to market and working with our customers and the outside sales team to satisfy the customer’s rescue requirements.

The role also entails introducing and selling into all Draeger-related markets, emphasizing oil, gas, and chemical segments.This position is part of the functional Draeger Service organization and must work closely with the marketing team and all other service organizations.The position is based in the Houston, Texas, area and will be responsible for the Gulf Coast territory.Responsibilities:Provide field sales support and technical expertise to develop Draeger’s standby rescue solutions and generate revenue.Use every opportunity to promote Draeger products & services to increase business and maximize customer/company experience.Perform analysis of customer challenges and recommend corrective action.Develop growth strategies and plans by taking a proactive approach to monitoring customer needs, competitive products, and trends.Decipher customer needs into actionable recommendations for the marketing organization.Assist in bid & tender management for complex rescue applications and tailored solutions.Support the sales team to identify leads and onsite project opportunities and generate sales.As the ‘industrial rescue subject matter expert,’ develop and administer product sales training to empower the sales team and internal personnel on an ongoing basis.Assist the marketing manager with product launches as required and provide technical benefits & features.Your QualificationsEducation: Highly desirable, but not required, a degree qualified or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.Related Experience:Five or more years’ product experience in industrial rescue or a related field, selling rescue services which are required for turnarounds in the petrochemical/ chemical industry.Special Competencies or Certifications:Must be able to succeed in a complex, matrix environment where the activities of others need to be influenced without direct lines of management authority.Must be results-oriented with an ability to stay focused on objectives in the face of shifting priorities.Must be able to function as a member of a highly productive and collaborative teamMust have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively articulate and communicate company and product information to external and internal customers.Must be able to read schematics, maps, and other diagrams used during onsite projects.Must be able to pull/push products greater than 70 lbs.
