KPMG is currently seeking an Executive Director, Partnership Tax Matters to join our Firm Taxes organization.

Responsibilities:
Lead the Partnership Tax Matters Group operations on a day-to-day basis, including income tax compliance and accounting, tax planning and tax reviews and examinations; requires the management and mentoring of executive level direct reports with highly specialized technical and process knowledge Manage the development and implementation of federal, state, local and international tax planning for strategic initiatives undertaken by the Firm, collaborating effectively with the Executive Director – Tax Research and Planning Provide technical consultation and guidance regarding partnership tax matters to KPMG internal clients including the Office of General Counsel, Human Resources, Area Practice Leaders and centralized and area Finance and Accounting personnel Assist Firm Taxes leadership in briefings and consultations with KPMG senior management; requires continuous monitoring of tax legislative and regulatory developments, business events and changes in the KPMG professional practice and real-time formulation of value-added input regarding tax implications Analyze and provide guidance on a regular basis regarding a wide variety of tax issues impacting KPMG LLP and its partners High-level of involvement with the establishment of Department policies, procedures and internal management systems (e.g., technical documentation standards, knowledge-sharing procedures, and sign-off and review protocols)
Qualifications:
Minimum ten years of progressive experience in a large and complex professional services organization or Tax Department of large multinational corporation Advanced degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting/Finance or BA with professional certification (e.g., CPA) Strong, well-rounded knowledge of federal, state, international income and transaction tax concepts; partnership taxation experience required Strong communication, leadership and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams and disciplines Must embrace and drive the expansion of applying technology solutions to the firm’s growing tax compliance and reporting requirements
