Integration Project Manager – HR Workday


This is a Contract position in Irving, TX posted August 2, 2021.

Job Description:

As a Workday Integration Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of the project deliverables (e.g., Interfaces designs, support and test all I/O integration points with third parties, integration project/staffing plan, keep, solve and track all issues, actions, risks logs, etc.) and work with the project stakeholder leaders to govern milestone deliverables such as design sign-off, testing approvals, and address any other potential barriers to project success. The Integration Project Manager anticipates and/or identifies integration scope slip and champions project integration governance managing to the agreed integration budget.


•     Demonstrate competency in the Workday product suite – HCM, 3er parties Payrolls, and/or Financials
•     Ensure Workday integrations and interfaces are properly planned, executed, and delivered
•     Work with the HR business stakeholders, IT leadership and 3er party vendors to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project integration scope and/or time frames
•     Work with 3er party Workday Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed to checkpoints
•     Ability to effectively present to Executive and Project Team levels, while understanding the needs of each audience
•     Ensure the integration points and project scope is delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW
•     Present to project leadership with Change Orders in the event a new integration is needed to perform tasks that are outside the scope of the SOW
•     Demonstrate computational thinking. Identify problem components, analyze patterns, remove inefficient configurations or integration processes, and construct algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing Human Resources needs
•     Contribute to and mold a culture of continuous education amongst your colleagues, mentees, and managers – serve as a professional role model
•    Ensure any signoffs required for the project (e.g., stage and/or milestone signoffs, design signoffs, Stage Gate Reviews, Change Order signoffs etc.) are obtained in a timely manner

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering (with a focus on IT Systems), or Business (emphasis within the IT realm) disciplines.
  • Current PMP certifications preferred
  • Workday Project Management Certification strongly preferred


  • 4+ years’ experience project managing Workday HCM, with medium or large enterprise clients
  • At least two complete project lifecycles implementation experiences implementing Workday
  • Working knowledge with at least one of the following business areas: Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Compensations, Finance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, and Visio
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%.
