IT Project Coordinator


This is a Full-time position in Dallas, TX posted February 28, 2021.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate and Communicate for wide range of IT Projects including the following

  • Oversee the definition of project scope, due diligence, and software/vendor selection for IT Infrastructure projects running concurrently:
    • Replacement of nightly backup and disaster recovery service
    • Replace current storage array with Pure storage.
  • Create project charter, gather business requirements, obtain stakeholder buy-in and sign off.
  • Work closely with vendor to ensure successful project scheduling, implementation and completion.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
  • Collaborate with IT service teams to develop detailed work plans, including work breakdown structures, project milestones, risk assessment/management plans, staffing needs, project timelines, and budgets.
  • Manage activities of project team including 3rd party vendors, controlling the indirect management of resources and schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Identify project risks and implement contingency plans. Identify and resolve issues and obstacles, escalating where necessary to the project sponsor, steering committee, or appropriate party.
  • Manage communication plan for project status, issues, and risks; provide project performance metrics with a focus on status, budgets, and projections.
  • Define project acceptance and success criteria. Disseminate to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel.


  • Minimum 7 years of directly related experience in an IT project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution TARGET.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies, in addition to how other enterprising as employing them.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in successfully using “soft skills” or “people skills”.
  • Strong communication skills – with ability to effectively liaison across multiple business units and report out on an executive level.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office 365 suite and collaboration tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field preferred.
  • Project Manager training and certification preferred.
