Legal Operations Manager

This is a Contract position in Houston, TX posted September 6, 2021.

Sleegal’s mission is to make legal services accessible to everyone.

At Sleegal, we are using machine learning to build a legal marketplace that accurately matches clients with lawyers.

Today, users have to go online to search for lawyers on their own, giving calls to multiple lawyers hoping to find the right one with the right price.

With our tech, users find the lawyers that truly match their needs, with just a few lines of online chat, and completely for free.

As part of the Legal Operations team, you will work closely with both our product and engineering teams to manage the operations between lawyers and clients.

You will also play a critical role in defining the efficiency of the legal search process as data is the backbone of machine learning.

With this role, you will have the opportunity to show off your legal knowledge, learn how AI works, and pivot between projects in a fast-paced environment.

We are a dynamic team with a mixed background in law, tech, and business.

Our core team members earned degrees from top US law schools and business schools and have deep experience building successful AI products in the Valley, ranging from autonomous vehicles to wearable devices.

This position can start immediately.

Location: remote (our HQ is in the Bay Area) What will you do Own the operational process for onboarding lawyers and lawyer-client communication Research and label a large amount of cases in various areas of practices Research legal topics and create useful content for the public Identify opportunities for future product development Document errors for the engineering team Identify high-quality legal data sources You could be a great fit if you have Must have gained a Juris Doctor degree from a US accredited law school, top 200 are preferred Must have at least 2 years of working experience Knowledge in various areas of legal practices and various sources of legal data Interest in working in a technology company and is familiar with the pace in which we work Can-do attitude, can roll up your sleeves and deliver results and meet deadlines Experience in processing and analyzing legal data Great attention to details and integrity Good at asking questions.
