Maintenance Supervisor


This is a Part-time position in Austin, TX posted July 29, 2021.

Description: Coordinate and prioritize the workload for Maintenance Technicians on all shifts.

Purchase spare parts and pats for breakdowns.

Job Requirements: Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.

Prior supervisory experience, combined with knowledge of employment and health, safety and environment policies and legislation.

Knowledge of robotics and PLC systems with ability to troubleshoot problems.

Duties & Responsibilities Supervision of facility maintenance personal.

Design plant improvements and implement preventative maintenance program.

Standardize procedures and engineering changes.

Schedule work assignments.

Inventory Control.

Coordinate projects using internal and external resources.

Implement process improvement.

Responsible for employee morale in the Maintenance Department.

Manage Shop Floor Control System Review status of IT systems daily to ensure 100% uptime Create and monitor daily reports.

Distribute as necessary.

Develop, maintain and manage strong relationships with internal and external customers through strong communication, quality systems and processes.

Receive, review and create necessary modifications for PCR’s, CMM with attention to detail to ensure accuracy to the process Deliver truck paperwork to rear and power train docks when trucks ship.

Troubleshoot issues within the shop floor control system Setup and maintain devices used in conjunction with the shop floor control.

Education: Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent education and work experience in order to lead a team or Maintenance Technicians.

Experience: 2 years of industrial hands-on maintenance experience.

Requirements: Continuing education in Information Technology or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong, demonstrative interpersonal skills, including information technology, Windows environment, Network devices, problem solving, employee relations, automotive quality requirements, strong customer relationship background and attitude.

Demonstrate project management skills.

Good Computer skills (Autocad, PM software, Spreadsheets.) Working Conditions: Majority of time in plant environment.

Travel occasionally.

The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and use hand to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Schedule: Standard work hours will consist of 11 hours per day, 4 days a week on an assigned shift.

Schedule hours may be altered as required by the training needs of employees.

Ability to work overtime or irregular hours to include Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as requested.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
