Manager of Operations

U.S. Venture, Inc.

This is a Full-time position in dallas, tx posted March 23, 2023.

POSITION SUMMARY
U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., brings together more than 100 years of experience as an industry leader in the distribution of tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships.
Hours are Monday – Friday 7:00am – 5pm. Saturdays as needed. Expect to work 50 hours per week. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication. Provides measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
  • Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
  • Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates
  • Assists with process improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and communication
  • Ensure drivers are completing all required daily paperwork:
    • Driver hours log (when needed)
    • Pre-trip inspection sheet
    • Driver’s vehicle inspection report
    • Daily vehicle mileage and fuel report
    • Ensure all paperwork is submitted promptly to corporate office
  • Dispatch:
    • Assign product to be pulled by material handlers
    • Route paperwork/product to appropriate area
    • Ensure drivers are completing customer returns within 3 days of creation
    • Collect COD logs on a daily basis to ensure cash and checks are being collected
    • Communicate to CSR’s, Sales, Customers, Other locations and Drivers effectively
  • Fleet:
    • Monitor state and federal DOT regulations
    • Ensure all PM’s are being performed on a regular basis
    • Ensure all repairs are performed in order to stay compliant with federal regulations
    • Assist drivers in making proper arrangements when a break down occurs
    • Coordinate Smith Training for drivers
  • Operate power equipment, including fork-lift
  • Plan, oversee and participate in warehouse operations to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Supervise and assists receiving, restocking, inventory control, pulling and preparing orders, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, shipping order and product returns
  • Recruits and develops high performance work teams
  • Encourages participation and communication from team members to solve business challenges and translate operational strategies
  • Ensure quality of work by warehouse staff
  • Builds effective teams using the company’s culture and value to deliver high levels of employee engagement and performance management
  • Assure administrative functions are completed timely
  • Maintain physical facility to ensure adequate safety, protect against loss, and present a professional company image
  • May be required to back up delivery drivers

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of fleet management and logistics experience
  • 3 years warehouse related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Foundation level of business and financial acumen
  • Executes and makes plans to deliver business metrics
  • Knowledgeable in material handling and inventory documentation
  • Critical decision-making capability with a strategic mindset
  • Capacity to influence others through coaching, servant leadership, collaboration and employee engagement
  • Monitors accountability to drive results for optimal performance
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Demonstrates self-awareness by using feedback and reflection to grow individual continuous improvement
  • Recognizes and values the different perspectives and culture individual team members bring to the organization
  • Excellent math skills and understanding of basic accounting methods
  • Ability to project a positive image to customers
  • Knowledgeable in applicable computer software
  • Ability to lift to up 65 lbs often
  • Able to operate warehouse equipment
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (we do not test for THC/marijuana)
