The Manager, Social Content will be an integrated member of the Social+ leadership team and responsible for branded social media initiatives for a grouping of schools in the LEARFIELD portfolio. This person will be a content producer and manager of creatives, who possesses an overarching revenue-driving mindset to support the sustainability of LEARFIELD’s growing social content initiatives. Responsibilities will include driving social media revenue growth for local properties and national sales. The position will require engaged leadership, an aptitude for content creation, an understanding of the inner workings of social media platforms, and thoughtful partnership/distribution strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts related to branded social media content by managing a team of content creators that ideate and produce sponsored social content for corporate partners
  • Assist in candidate discovery, onboarding, and training for new content creators
  • Create corporate materials on evolving social content initiatives and assist in Social+ program revenue reporting
  • Identify and present sellable social content assets by developing strategies, packaging and pricing
  • Collaborate with national partnership teams to identify sponsor objectives, develop and implement scalable solutions that leverage social content assets, and report campaign performance
  • Social media subject matter expert! Maintain full understanding of each social media platform and how to effectively engage followers while staying on top of the latest trends and advancements
  • Background and prior experience in shooting video, video editing, graphic and motion design, and photography – ideally in sports.
  • When necessary, drive creation of custom branded social media content for local and national sales teams to drive revenue opportunities for LEARFIELD

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in content creation/social media roles
  • Social media visionary with highly-attuned business acumen who has developed creative and effective social campaigns to meet client/brand needs
  • Creative and strategic in nature with the ability to articulate social media strategies to sellers, partners and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience creating content for relevant (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat) and emerging social platforms with a clear understanding of best practices
  • Knowledge of graphic, motion design, photography, video editing/production and all apps in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understand platform tools to analyze data and decipher insights to evaluate branded content executions
  • Solutions-minded when managing obstacles – overcoming objections with resolutions and a positive attitude
  • Excellent organization, time management and communication skills
  • Prefer previous experience in sports industry and ideally in college athletics
  • Prefer previous experience working with a sales team
  • Management experience is a plus
  • Travel to partner sites when needed
