Ensures the communication, recognition and engagement strategies are implemented on time and within budget.Creates, manages and implements key announcement strategies, crisis communications programs and stakeholder communications. Evaluates, reviews and edits communications and materials for quality, completeness, accuracy and alignment with established brand standards. Provides ongoing support and communication advice to Operations leadership to ensure consistency and alignment with established organizational principles and business objectives. Ensures that employees can rapidly identify, send, receive and understand information that is clear, credible and relevant. Develops, publishes and distributes a range of organizational, cultural and HR-related materials in traditional print form, electronically or through online technologies. Creates intranet content, newsletters, brochures, handbooks, and meeting materials.Summary of Responsibilities:The Manager, Communications defines communication, recognition and engagement strategies, creates content, and delivers effective communication in support of the organization”s Operations initiatives. S/he works with partners across the organizations and is responsible for a wide-variety of internal communication programs. In addition, the Manager, Communications works closely with Corporate Communications to disseminate information by identifying audiences, defining information needs, developing, writing, and distributing information.Essential Functions:* Analyzes trending news, customer and employee behavior and industry insights to generate ideas that lead to thought-provoking and compelling content.* Trains members and staff on best practices in communication technology.* Develops, writes and edits presentations, talking points, Q&A”s, emails, articles, customer scripts.* Oversees the development of customer and employee financial literacy content in partnership with Marketing and Learning & Development.* Develops creative ways to deliver messages through video and other rich media content.* Writes stories for the Operations intranet and executive social media content.* Maintains collaborative relationships with Human Resources, Corporate Communications and Marketing graphic designers, photographers, and videographers.* Generates compelling, engaging content to support content-driven integrated strategy, and helps identify the most effective communication channels to reach relevant target groups and help to feed these channels with the appropriate messaging.* Manages Operations recognition and engagement strategies* Creates and maintains project plans to successfully move all projects forward in a timely, collaborative and efficient manner.* Designs posts to sustain readers” curiosity and creating buzz around Operations and team updates.* Develops communications to help drive and support large-scale cultural change.* Develops materials, presentations and other marketing communications for campaigns and other Operations efforts as well as plan and execute town halls, business meetings, focus groups and employee events.* Other Functions:* Directs and reviews the work of the team and provides training to enhance knowledge and skills and develop team.* Other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:Manages subordinate managers and professional staff.
