JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our location in Austin Texas currently has an opportunity for a Marketing Product Manager, Pricing and Distribution/ Channels . The primary function of this position is to work with the value stream team to manage the Pricing and Distribution/ Channels

(M&P) Value Stream for the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Division. The incumbent will collaborate to drive the Pricing and Distribution/ Channels while collaborating across Business Unit leadership to drive and achieve division margin goals.

The scope will include both long term planning and roadmap development, as well as short-term execution of critical projects and programs. This role works cross-functionally with core team and functional managers to ensure that programs meet objectives and timelines. Represents the core team to the organization, reports team progress, program recommendations and resolutions of issues at senior staff meetings. This position reports to the Director of Global Downstream Marketing and works closely with the CRM Margin & Profitability Director.

What You Will Do:

Be part of the team driving the Pricing and Distribution/ Channels decisions to optimize the post implant experience for our patients and medical personal.

  • Drive cost reductions, while eliminating barriers and developing new processes to bring an improved monitoring experience to the market.
  • Assess consumer needs, technology progressions and trade-offs and total cost of ownership for mobile technologies.
  • The Margin & Profitability Value Stream includes the execution of large scale / high impact monitoring initiatives and reporting of progress to Executive Steering committee. Design Distribution and lead Pricing and / Channels projects for long-term value creation; Determine the ‘what must happen/stay on track’; Establish and evaluate key metrics; Drive results through innovative value creation and initiatives for continuous, measurable improvements
  • Design assessment of external competitive analytics – Shareholder value creation
  • Provide valuation models for material decisions.
  • Offer thought-provoking questions to assist in Executive decision-making
  • Collaborate and influence across Business Unit leadership and staff to assign goals, develop project funnels, support execution, and manage / mitigate risks.
  • Ensures that high impact programs are defined, resourced and implemented in order to achieve financial objectives as defined by both the Annual and Long-Range Plans. – performing benchmarking and cost structure analysis to define significant opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop roadmap for CRM Value Stream and execute to roadmap milestones.
  • Support and lead any key strategic initiatives and activities being driven by the CRM M&P organization.
  • Manage/ support large-scale global projects to reduce costs, reduce inventory investment, improve/streamline “go to market” strategies/processes and/or improve service to CRM customers.

What You Will Bring:

  • 3+ years of working in the industry in which an business competes
  • Must have 3 years’ experience leading projects in a medical device, bio medical or high technology industry.
  • Prefer extensive medical device industry experience.
  • Broad and in-depth multi-disciplinary technical knowledge of the medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex business and technical aspects of large scale development programs.
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively outside of division.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization, including presenting to senior management.
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Ability to travel, approximately 10%. Occasional international travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct marketing or commercial experience or partnered closely with a commercial team while being employed at medical device or healthcare company.
  • 5+ years in marketing role with focus in Commercial or Operations Strategy for a healthcare or Medical Device Company.
  • 3+ years in a management role for a healthcare, Hi-Tech or Medical Device company.
