Position Description: The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Special Programs Office (AFLCMC/WAG) develops, tests, and rapidly fields classified Air Force aeronautical capabilities.

Executing a significant budget, AFLCMC/WAG conducts studies to identify new capabilities; transitions laboratory technologies to operational platforms; executes demonstrations; and develops, tests, and rapidly fields new capabilities for the warfighter.In this position the SME Program Manager will provide program management support to classified programs utilizing DoD acquisition processes and policies for the procurement of systems, subsystems, and life cycle acquisition management.

They will be responsible to conduct the following:Assist in initiating new prototype and development programsEmploy acquisition program analysis in the areas of acquisition and contracting strategy, program planning and control, schedule development, test, configuration management, risk management, contract changes, financial management, production, and product supportAssist in the planning, development, editing, and staffing of acquisition document products (e g , program documentation, plans, reports, briefings, etc)Develop and present briefings on program status, findings, and/or recommendations to senior leadershipConduct technical evaluations of contractor proposalsAssist in annual program cost estimates and Program Objective Memorandum development and submissionInterface with weapons system contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding programmatic aspectsSupport program technical interchange meetings, program management reviews, executive management reviews, test meetings, development/operational test events, integrated product team meetings, software/hardware design reviews, etcPerform program risk assessments and develop mitigation plansApply earned value management system (EVMS) for cost and schedule to existing contractsReviews and gives feedback to contract deliverable products Qualifications: REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Active TOP SECRET security clearance with background investigation current within the past 6 years is required or a security clearance under continuous evaluationBachelors Degree with 15 years of relevant experience or Masters Degree with 10 years of relevant experienceIn depth knowledge of DoD acquisition program managementDESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:TOP SECRET security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility and background investigation current within the past 6 years or a security clearance under continuous evaluation12 months or more of SAP experience within the past 5 yearsDefense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level II or III certification in Program Management10 years of DoD Acquisition Program Office experienceDoD Acquisition strategy and process development, and lifecycle managementDeveloping, editing, and publication of program documentsIn-depth experience with other acquisition disciplines Company Overview: Serco Inc.
