– San AntonioJob Code 7462# of openings 1Apply Now ( Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Project Coordinator to support an Air Force medical contract out of San Antonio, TX.DUTIES INCLUDE:+ Support in researching, analyzing and reporting on data to support compelling, insightful and effective recommendations and presentations.+ Develop/maintain tools for use by other team members to aid them in their ability to efficiently/effectively meet the team’s objectives.+ Support in conducting surveys to understand site workflows and to assess Clinical and Business Decision Support activities.+ Support the plan, development and implementation of Clinical and Business Decision Support activities.+ Research and select guidelines to translate into a knowledge representation format for use in Clinical and Business Decision Support services.+ Support in managing the content site for development, review, publication, cataloguing, and archiving of knowledge specification in human and machine readable forms.+ Support in developing web services from the knowledge representations for use in the information systems as needed.+ Coordinate and conduct research and evaluations of all Clinical and Business Decision Support activities.+ Assist with determining the priority of Clinical and Business Decision Support projects, content development, web service development, and use.+ Support in providing technical expertise to MTFs on the use of AFMS developed clinical metrics and MHS systems measures in efforts to improve the health of the enrolled population.+ Support the process of executing SQL jobs to implement the business rules as defined by HEDIS.+ Identify and migrate AFCHIPS tables to SQL Server, including those tables related to the monthly and quarterly data refresh/reports, e.g., for AFMS Dashboard, Wing Commander’s Heads Up Display (HUD), Performance Plans/Action Plans.+ Assist in training, working groups, seminars and conferences.+ Provide management and administrative support.+ Restructure data tables to improve accessibility and enhance analytical capabilities for AFMS users.+ Collaborate with Government Database Administrators (DBAs) and convert tables into a relational format as appropriate and needed/requested.+ Develop, produce and analyze clinical metrics as well as a variety of data products for internal/external customers.+ Document field inquires /concerns from AFMS, MHS, MCSCs, MTFs, and other program users and collaborate for resolutions with the system developer or applicable software programmer.+ Provide technical recommendations to improve program administration data collection, return rates, data usage, software utilization and similar tasks.+ Research and brief AFMS staff on advances in programs.+ Identify and troubleshoot data import, analysis, and display errors.+ Synthesize and evaluate information from a variety of sources, to prepare documents or provide insight with which officials can make timely and accurate decisions.+ Provide consultation to AFMS and other staff members to various projects and programs.+ Provide training within their areas of expertise.+ Support the AFMS and AF MTFs as they shift their focus from intervention services to improving the health of the entire population through population health initiatives.+ Develop, coordinate and monitor applicable program activities.+ Ensure configuration control documentation is maintained and includes all updates and changes.+ Accomplish and/or arrange for system upgrades as appropriate/necessary.+ Provide recommendations to improve applicable program administration, data collection, return rates, data usage, software utilization and similar tasks.+ Contribute to the development and delivery of curriculum / training related to clinical performance metrics.+ Advise MTFs on the use of AFMS developed clinical metrics and AFMS/MHS analytical tools to improve the health of enrolled population.+ Develop local processes and outcome measures with MTFs that will allow them to be responsive and accountable to their customers while measuring progress toward optimization plans and goals.+ Encourage MTFs to view performance measures as a continuous improvement process, subject to change as data systems and key objectives change.+ Assist MTFs as they periodically refine their measures to keep pace with clinical practice parameters and the influence of outside agencies, e.g., The Joint Commission, NCQA.+ Provide thorough knowledge of metrics development and process improvement.+ Provide knowledge and experience working with clinical, business, and readiness measures such as HEDIS, access/enrollment, safety measures and IMR requirements.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:+ Experience in clinical decision support, to include developing and executing reports from large clinical data sets.+ Knowledge of relational database software; experience in applied statistics using SAS, SQL or other statistical programs.+ Prior experience implementing or supporting clinical information systems (CHCS, AHLTA, and/or Essentris experience).+ Two (2) to Four (4) years’ experience in the area of public health or population health.+ Two (2) years’ experience working in the area of quality improvement.+ Two (2) years’ experience teaching, writing and evaluating curriculum.+ Two (2) years’ experience developing and deploying clinical performance metrics.+ Proficiency with basic SQL for data manipulation and/or SAS Institute’s statistical analysis software package.+ One (1) year experience of preventive services.+ One (1) year experience software management and data retrieval.+ Proven ability to synthesize disparate facts from multiple sources and coalesce into an accurate and useful analytic product, incorporating Service and MHS strategic goals for use by leadership in both tactical and strategic decision making.+ Demonstrated ability to provide accurate and timely analytical products containing well?reasoned and cogent discussion points providing leadership with substantiated options or courses of action.+ Demonstrated ability to organize/participate/lead working groups to develop analytic products and byproducts or to develop/understand processes leading to effective optimization of analytic efforts.+ Demonstrated ability to effectively and clearly communicate analytical discoveries and appropriate recommendations/mitigation strategies to all levels of customers including Senior AFMS leadership.+ Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products PLUS additional software/hardware skills and capabilities.+ Ability to critically examine and evaluate, problem-solve.+ Demonstrated ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks with multiple deadlines simultaneously.+ Ability to deliver products on time, on schedule, within budget.+ Flexibility and ability to adapt to rapidly changing and often time-constrained environment.+ Ability to acquire skills/capabilities necessary to meet growing needs/demands of systems/software/hardware.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:+ Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Informatics, or a clinical field of study.+ Other significant related medical / clinical / health data experience such as previous participation in a data analytics / informatics fellowship may be considered as an appropriate substitute for education.REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:+ Must have an active Tier 3 background check to obtain a common access card (CAC)+ Must be a U.S.
