Job Overview Manager, Procurement Insights and Capabilities: Manager, Procurement Insights and Capabilities is responsible for advancing category strategies through insights and capabilities. This manager works across the Procurement Function and solicits best practice information from external industry resources to develop best in class capabilities in supplier relationship management and category management. The role will be accountable for providing category data analytics to the Sourcing teams to drive category strategies, while also measuring the performance of the total procurement function and KDPs suppliers. This manager also collaborates within the Procurement Operations Team to optimize procurement infrastructure and sourcing execution initiatives. What you will do: Define KDPs Category Management and Supplier Lifecycle Management processes, enabling its uniform deployment across all categories. Integrate and fully leverage current and new best in class technologies to simplify procurement processes and data analytic capabilities. Lead the development and execution of the advanced Category Analytics strategy to the Procurement Team. Drives the development of insights for the procurement team including reporting, supplier scorecards, departmental dashboards. Provides operational support for Sustainability initiatives including managing the Supplier Code of Conduct Annual Adherence Survey process and the Responsible Sourcing Audit Plan. Also owns and develops 3rd party relationships to support sustainability initiatives. Utilizes data to continually recommend change and efficiencies across the Procurement team Develop Supplier Diversity tools and processes through baseline diversity metrics and diverse supplier inclusion in bids. Leads Procurement Operating Model stewardship, aligning/recommending key initiatives to ensure the mid to long term success of the POM and Procurement Team with overall KDP objectives. Provides centralized capability in support of category strategy development and execution as related Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability initiatives and goals. Effectively communicates changes to the organization and ensures team is trained in all up-to-date practices. Fully leverages procurement infrastructure and tools, including SAP, Ariba, Celonis, and Kargoo Systems. Researches best practices for Insights and Capabilities and brings this research to the team, recommending actions to improve overall Procurement effectiveness. Creates process and procedures and trains team members on these procedures. Follow all KDP policies and procedures. Responsible for leading a team of internal/external professionals including hiring and staffing development, performance coaching, and mentoring. Requirements What you must have: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a progressive supply chain organization with specific knowledge and/or experience in Procurement or related discipline, and Data Analytics. Minimum of 2+ years as a supervisor or manager, or as leader of cross-functional project teams. Experience working with ERP systems, SAP and SAP Ariba preferred, and data mining tools such as Celonis. Ability to work across the procurement function and determine and interpret business needs and to translate those needs into effective action plan. Proven ability to interact with management at all levels and to participate in setting strategic direction for the procurement team. Understanding of industry best practices in Procurement Capabilities and Insights, with proven experience in this area of expertise. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging deadlines, lead a team of professionals and solve problems, both quantitative and qualitative. Strong Project Management skills.
