Job Description

The Quality Director position is part of Brinks U.S.

Corporate infrastructure and reports to the Senior Director of Operations Excellence.

The position is domiciled at the Brink’s Corporate Headquarters in Coppell, TX.

Duties include the following areas of focus outlined below.

Quality Champion for the Brinks Complete Product Line
Drive the Brinks Complete product offering performance towards zero defects through the use of standard Lean/TPC methods and tools.

Performance measurement & management is a core responsibility; key metrics will be tracked and reported to the Brinks executive team weekly.

Rigorous and regular employment of standard Lean problem solving tools (data analytics/Pareto charting, Fishbone diagramming, 5 Why’s, & 8D) and Kaizen to address performance shortcomings and drive rapid process and performance improvement Work closely with the Brinks Complete Global Product team and manufacturer Suzo-Happ on hardware, software, packaging and shipping improvements for flawless deployment to new customer locations.

Train and develop the Brinks Complete cross-functional team in the use of standard problem solving methods and tools
Builds and refines U.S.

deployment and service standards
Value Stream: works with Global/U.S.

product and operations teams, device manufacturer, and service technicians to define and document current state and future state product line value stream maps (VSM) and continuous improvement roadmaps (CIRs) Process Standardization: defines and documents in Standard Work Instruction format all processes related to Brinks Complete product line, to include customer on-boarding, device deployment & installation, Cash-In-Transit pick-up and delivery services, and Cash Vault Services deposit processing and change order fulfillment
Serves as program manager to deliver on quality improvement initiatives
Partners with U.S.

branch locations, as necessary, to address specific quality trends and performance issues in service execution of the Brinks Complete service offering.

Builds and maintains strong customer relationships
Understands customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.

Devises and reviews specifications for products and processes; leads collaborative efforts with Brinks U.S.

leadership, Brinks Global, local branch leaders and Customers to proactively address Voice of Customer concerns and operative challenges via the standard Lean cycle of improvement (VSM – CIR – Kaizen) Takes initiative to directly support and solve both short-term and chronic Voice of Customer issues
Desired Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have direct experience and a proven track record for successfully executing quality improvement programs in manufacturing and service-driven environments.

They will have most of the following qualifications:
Business Intelligence: must have extensive data analysis experience and the ability to turn process data into actionable information via statistical process control and Pareto analysis.  Proven ability to champion and utilize LEAN/TPC principles and tools to solve problems, reduce waste, improve profitability, quality, performance and create alignment Uses 8D Problem Solving for addressing significant quality issues Follows scientific/A3 thinking process when conducting kaizen for continuous process improvement Uses key root cause identification tools, including Pareto analysis, Ishikawa/Fishbone diagrams, & 5 Whys analysis Follows PDCA methodology for validating permanent countermeasure effectiveness Direct experience in improving device/product quality in a manufacturing environment Direct experience in improving process quality for new product introductions BA/BS degree in Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering or related professional field; commensurate direct experience in lieu of degree will also be considered Lean and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification
